Porto

Monday morning we decide to head to Porto. Teresa and Joaquim have things to do so we decide to catch the train from Ovar.
The trains are much more modern than I remember. The ticket machines need to be reprogrammed. You are only able to purchase one ticket at a time. Pity the large families who try to travel by train.
We get off the train and visit El Corte Ingles - it is much smaller than any of the stores we have seen. We look for the kids chocolate milk - alas no luck.
We head off by metro and again encounter the same machine. Everything looks modern but the people who program these machines is obviously single.
We get off and get a cable car to the bottom of the hill. We check out the river from the winery side.
Eventually we stop for lunch - pork, fish and grilled meat. Again we are stuffed! We walk over the bridge on the lower level. We spot a family travelling from France. Ed thinks we should consider this as a potential family holiday for the Scott's and the Pereira's. I am not so sure.
A family who has riden to Portugal from France.
Three on the bike and two in the trailer at the back.
We enjoy looking at the beautful scenery both sides of the river, including the bridges.
