Teresa cooking lunch in the kitchen downstairs.
Ed has been catching up on more info on his family. Nine aunties and uncles on Teresa's side, seven on Joaquim's. He hasn't even started enquiries about Joaquim's family.
The kids have been exloring around the yard. Sabrina loves feeding the animals and Mitchell is munching away on sausages.
Mitchell with Ed's gun.
Ed went out the back and visited his Aunt Esmeralda. He also saw two of his cousins and .
After lunch ( calde verde - potato and cabbage soup) we went for a drive to Sao Jacinto and were surprised by the way the area has deteoriated. The council are thankfully repairing and beautifying the streets but everywhere in both Spain and Portugal there are signs of the financial crisis.
After we went back to Torreira for a coffee at a cafe Ed once worked at.
Coffee and monte branco - one of Ed's favourite sweets.
We walked along the waters edge watching the fishermen getting their boats ready for fishing later in the afternoon/evening.

Looks like Mitch is wanting to get the raw materials for the sausages. Enjoy the catch up!
ReplyDeleteSabrina is more likely to keep us fed. she is the better marks woman. Hope you get to rest your limbs soon.
ReplyDeleteWe have seen hundreds of people on bikes and old motor bikes today - they are apparently staying at the local caravan park. This is a popular spot to cycle. Maybe one day???????
