We all enjoyed our museum visit. Ed enjoyed the maps and the links with Portugal. Sabrina enjoyed the recovered relics from ships that had sunk. Mitchell enjoyed the model ships and again the weaponary.
I loved my museum equally as much as the Prado and the Reina Sofia. I saw Ruben's, Dali's, Hopper's, Monet's, Degas' , Kandinsky's and Nolde's just to name a few. My mouth stayed open my whole visit - Wow!
Rang Ed and found that he and kids were on their way to San Bernabou to check out the stadium.
We decided to meet for lunch somewhere in the Sol area. I wandered up having a coffee in a restaurant decked out like an old cathedral. It was lovely. I ended upon El Corte Ingles - sales were on. Ed and kids arrived to prevent me from making any purchases. We had lunch up the top of the shop.
Wandered back home making some last minute souvenir shopping and stopping for a quick refreshment.
Dinner was at Botin Restaurant - the oldest restaurant in the world according to the Guiness book of records. At least the oldest in Spain. I had roast lamb and the rest of the clan had suckling pig. Dessert and another coffee and we were done.
Another last look at Plaza Mayor and Sol. Off tomorrow heading to Salamanca and then Portugal.
Happy Birthday Ed!
