Aveiro

Waking this morning we were greeted by some rain. After brekky we decided to go for a drive to Aveiro.
Ana said their was a fair on just out of Aveiro at a ceramics factory. We arrived and had a look at some examples of the dinnerware. I have seen some pieces by this company back home.
There were some stalls set up and Sabrina bought some sweets. It started to rain again so we decided to go into Aveiro central and look around shops that were undercover. Some shops are the same as home while others are different.
The kids were hungry and craving food they recognise - McDonalds. We had some meals from a Brazilian fast food joint - very big and delux meals for a shopping centre.
We spent some time in a book store and then some clothing stores. Sabrina and Mitchell both scored some new things.
The sun had come out so we moved out of the centre. We walked around looking at some of the canals and did some people watching.

We needed a pit stop for a drink and an ice cream for the kids.

On the way home we stopped in to see Jorge at work and did a bit of food shopping at the Continente store.
Dinner was steak, pasta and a range of vegetables fresh from the garden. We headed out for a walk after dinner in the hope of shedding some pounds but were thwarted as locals began to recognise Edward. We returned home after only walking a short distance but expending much energy chatting.
Take care friends and family!

  2. G'day Kylie and Ed. There is a lot of eating going on, on your blog! We haven't had any chain food while overseas. Resisted the urge. Lachy hasn't asked for any yet, although I thought I would have to give in so I could access wifi. Pizzas the size of my forearm cost €6. Too good!
