They love training the branches on their trees.
Plant is from Queensland.
Ouch!
We next headed in the direction of a canteen run by nuns. The meal was really good! I had cod fish fritters, Ed had hake, Mitchell and Sabrina had Pork with Rice as well as having dessert and drinks. The view was fantastic and the weather perfect!
You look in betwern buildings to phenomenal views.
View from Canteen!
Restaurant where everything comes out of a can.
After lunch we headed for Belem. We just looked at the monuments from the outside and enjoyed walking along the waterfront. Ed and kids tried out a scooter and intend to hire three tomorrow whilst I visit a museum. You cannot visit Belem and not have a natas. We had a coffee and a pastry - delicious!

The bridge we crossed yesterday.
Monument to Discoveries.

Next we headed towards home. Brina and I stopped off at El Corte Ingles. She saw a handbag in Porto and was hoping it would be available here. Alas all sold out. We checked out some of the produce in the supermarket below. Yum!

The monument of discoveries looks impressive. You are blessed with the weather.
ReplyDeleteYou certainly wouldn’t find a canteen run by Nuns in Oz! Look at you guys trying different things although please tell me you didn’t try food from ‘everything g out of a cen’ Sounds average to me. The Natas looks delicious - so jealous right now!
ReplyDeleteNatas are the best! Looked but too full to eat from can restaurant. Ed has had snacks there on previous trip. Food is very good apparently. ☺
