Braga

We are heading home the long way. We decided to go via Braga which is north. Braga is very old so wandering the centre of town is very pleasurable. There are lots of churches and we had lunch near the main cathedral.
Lunch was huge! We all feel like we have eaten half a cow. Walking is needed to burn off some of the calories consumed at lunch.

Chapel for Senhora a Branco - dedicated to the lady of the snow.

Lunch

Mitchell and Brina loved these ice cream cups when we came many years ago. This was the first time we saw them - they brought back lots of nice memories, especially of out time in Fatima.

Mum can I take home a souvenir guitar?

Inside the chapel next to Cathedral. Ed is standing beside plaques with the names and dates of all the bishops buried inside the chapel.

Blessing the sculpture.
Inside the Se in Braga.
Beautiful stained glass.
Sculptural work surrounding the organ.

We walked off some of lunch going up and down the steps.

What can I say again we have been blessed with divine weather, great food, company and location!
